My name is José María, and I am a PHP Analyst-Programmer. That’s how any programmer support group session could start anywhere, but that would just scratch the surface.
Currently, I'm on a break from my job at Vozitel until spring 2025, when I'll have to decide whether to continue with them or not. The work was a bit monotonous, simply creating PHP scripts to load data provided in XML format into a CRM system so that operators could make automated calls — the kind we all love to receive at any time, offering us new services we eagerly desire. You can understand why I’m now keeping this on hold, thinking about whether to continue with it or not.
Before that, I worked for Scalefast, creating online stores in PHP with Laravel, which used Vue on the front end. This job was amazing, and I still wonder why I left. I also worked for Nvia, which specialized in online marketing, with a web gaming section and a mass SMS service that, a long time ago, was often used for malicious purposes. However, after Facebook introduced the double opt-in system, it became popular for sending SMS codes, and even banks began hiring us. We had made a positive impact in the world. But the pandemic spares no one, and the company eventually closed.
And going further back, I’ve been involved with web hosting companies, domain registration, web design, newspapers (PRISA Group), and was even part of the original development of Yomvi, where I proposed using RabbitMQ (if you currently have Movistar+ and are watching a soccer match, and your neighbor shouts "GOAL!" before you see it, it might be due to this asynchronous queue invention — sorry about that).
But returning to the present, while I wait, I run a company in the UK where I handle occasional web design tasks and development in Prestashop and WordPress, just to keep things moving while I make my decision.
